Calgary’s history is strongly rooted in Inglewood and Fort Calgary. Fort Calgary National Historic Site is the birthplace of the city of Calgary and was built in 1875.
Nowadays, Fort Calgary is a great place to visit if you like history, and even better place for kids to do educational tours. Fort Calgary also offers Sunday Brunch and occasionally hosts events.
Inglewood Bird Sanctuary & Nature Centre
There are over 270 species of birds to see and discover on this 36 hectare wildlife reserve. Explore the trails and see what the grasslands and forests have to offer. Be prepared by bringing your binoculars and safari hat! Open from dawn to dusk, 365 days of the year.
