One of my favorite restaurants, Centini, has introduced a new wine selection from the Marche region of Italy. They hosted a tasting event called “A Taste of Le Marche” during the summer and, as usual, Centini did not disappoint!
The supplier for the event was Domodimonti Societal Agricola. Based out of the province of Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche region of Italy, they provided Centini with five different wines that were showcased during the food and wine tasting: Passione E Visione, Picens, Solo Er Te, Licoste, and Deja V.
My favourite tasting was Solo Er Te. It is a Petit Verdot that has the second highest tier rating out of the 4 rating of the Indicazione Geografica Tipica (IGT) Montepulciano.
The owner and executive chef of Centini, Fabio Centini, were both so excited to showcase these wines as they were from the executive chef’s home town of Marche. With Centini’s extraordinary cuisine and rare wines, the event was especially memorable.
Centini, located beside the Telus Convention Centre, just a 2 minute walk East from the Hyatt Regency Calgary, is a fabulous Italian restaurant that serves gourmet Italian and continental European cuisine.
