Complimentary Bicycle Rentals at the Concierge desk

Did you know that the city of Calgary sports some of the best urban and rural biking terrain in Canada? From flat plains to beautiful river banks to safe downtown riding, Calgary has it all!

Did you also know that Hyatt Regency Calgary is the only hotel in downtown Calgary to offer complimentary bicycle rentals to all of our in-house guests? That’s right! We offer two Specialized “Crosstrail” hybrid 18-speed bikes with front suspension on a first-come-first-serve basis, exclusively through our Concierge desk.

Whether you would like to bike to Prince’s Island Park, tour Calgary’s famous “Red Mile” on 17th Avenue or just take a cruise down the shopping and restaurant district of Stephen Ave directly adjacent to our hotel, the choice is yours.  Beautiful trails, urban exploring or a dose of outdoor exercise are all at your fingertips.

Our Concierge team now has copies of Calgary’s Best Walks for guests to reference when planning trips around the city? The book is not only full of guided nature walks and urban routes, but also tours of local art, spectacular viewpoints and other hidden gems. Written by experienced adventurer and tour leader Lori Beattie, Calgary’s Best Walks is ideal for biking around and exploring the city!

Another great tool is the City of Calgary’s mobile app called “Ride the City” for both iOS and Android devices. The app offers bike path and lane information for the entire city. We highly recommend this fantastic app prior to borrowing our bikes.

Summer is a beautiful time in Calgary and we encourage you all to get out there and explore with our brand new bicycle rental program.

Always remember to abide by the rules of the road, be cautious and most importantly have a great time!
