Best Monday EVER.

The Les Clefs d’Or Alberta Professional Concierge Association recently hosted its 14th annual Golden Keys Invitational Golf Tournament at the world renowned Banff Springs Stanley Thompson Golf Course in beautiful Banff.
This year’s event saw over 110 attendees enjoy a wonderful day of golf and networking. Les Clefs d’Or Alberta has proudly partnered with Bow Valley Victim Services ( as its main charity and has now donated over 35 thousand dollars over the years to this great organization.

Along with being a great day of golf on one of the most spectacular course locations in Canada, this annual event acts as an amazing showcase of Alberta’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry. At almost every tee box you are greeted by representatives of the tournament’s many sponsors.
Along with the usual golf tournament challenges such as longest drive, closest to the pin and two hole in one contests, this tournament boasts some of the craziest and wildest hole animations you’ve ever seen.

Some of the highlights included a photo op with a stunning 1932 roadster from Alpine Limousine, freshly BBQ’d burgers from The Eddie Burger Bar, signature Time Machine cocktails and “Beat the Sas” drive from The Dancing Sasquatch Nightclub. What better way to stay loose during your round than to get a quick neck and shoulder massage on the tee box from Your Healthspan as well!

Just from these few highlights, you can see that this isn’t your average golf tournament.
Following a great day out on the course we were treated to an amazing BBQ buffet spread in the clubhouse. The reception and presentation portion was hosted by the very entertaining Mookie Wilson from Lite 96. Each golfer had the opportunity to select a prize (based on order of team score) from a huge selection of incredible items, as well as raffle draws throughout the reception. How incredible could the prizes be you may ask?
How about a full season ski pass for Mt. Norquay, embroidered Banff Springs leather tour golf bags, gift overnight stays for all of the best hotels across Alberta, spa packages and an endless selection of restaurant gift certificates. I was lucky enough to go home with a couple of Brooks Brothers’ golf shirts and a Rocky Mountain ATV tour.

An amazing day all around, I couldn’t possibly ask for more in a golf tournament. This event happens in early June every year. I highly recommend seeking out your favorite Les Clefs d’Or Concierge member to book your sponsorship and your foursome for next year. I guarantee it will be a memorable experience.
