Red’s Diner – for the breakfast lover

As we all know weekend breakfast in Calgary is notoriously busy, so if the schedule permits, a weekday excursion is a nice way to linger a bit over your omelette or French toast. Fortunately there are now two locations of Calgary’s favorite breakfast diner, Red’s, so you can dabble in such varied fare as Montreal Smoked Meat hash and eggs, Red’s Big Breakfast (which I sampled) or you can build your own burger.

Located at 1415 4th St S.W and their newest location right in my neighborhood of Ramsey at 1101- 8th.St S.E., Red’s has a reputation of being a great upbeat diner where they turn farm fresh ingredients into modern comfort food.

All day breakfasts include bacon and egg classics, famous Eggs Benny, original omelet’s and fluffy pancakes. On the lighter side are dishes such as tofu scrambles, breakfast parfaits, and red quinoa.

Red’s on 4th Street is Calgary’s hot spot for cafes, boutiques, galleries, and nightlife. The scene is incessantly amusing and enjoyable, so I strongly recommend that if you are in the area take time out to relax at Red’s. Enjoy delicious all day breakfast, signature salads, or classic burgers with one of the best shakes in town.

I was really excited when Red’s opened their second location right around the corner from my house and Red’s Diner fits right in with Ramsay’s inner-city style with fresh markets, colorful locals, and heritage personality. Red’s is a great place to bring family and friends for all day breakfast, lip smacking lunch or dinner.

They have a great patio, when the good weather hits and it definitely would be a great place to have a bite before a game at Stampede Park or an event in East Village.

Red’s in Ramsay accepts reservations during their early dinner hours only. Between 4pm – 7pm. Wednesday to Sunday. Check out both locations at redsdiner.com you won’t be disappointed. Great locations, great food, friendly staff and all day breakfast what more could you ask for.
